The 16th Annual Final of the Tilbury House Debating Society was held on January 25th. The adjudication panel consisted of Dr. Emmanuel Sissimatos (The Boston Consulting Group), Prof. Achim Wambach, Ph.D. (University of Cologne), Felix Lamouroux (Former President of Tilbury House and current CEO of Iosphere GmbH), Kai Menzel (Tilbury House Alumni, Federal Ministry of Health), Lea Phyel (Former President of Tilbury House) and Leonard M. (current president of Tilbury House). In a heated final,  Moritz Justen &Nicolas Mendoza prevailed as the best team. Nicolas Mendoza also won the award for best newcomer as well as best speaker of the final.

For the second time in its history, Tilbury House sent a team to the Worlds Universities Debating Championship. Fabian Farkas & Leonard M. went head to head against the best debaters of the whole world in Berlin. In a truely magnificent tournament, the Tilburies had a good chance to break to the ESL semi-final until the very last of the 9 preliminary rounds.
